A 61 year old male seeking ways to avoid the PEG. HELP!

I have a paralyzed right vocal cord due to a slip-up during a Cervical fusion in 1995. In the last few years, my swallowing has become more and more difficult; sometimes with the liquid going down my windpipe and pills just getting stuck. Today I was offered a PEG tube for feeding.
I am a 61 year old male with speech just above a whisper. I was told this would happen a little over 17 years ago and now “in the happening”, I am looking for any suggestions beside the PEG. Thanks and God Bless.
