Enlargement of Liver is medically termed as Hepatomegaly and it occurs, mostly due to some liver disease. There are no exact symptoms known of enlargement of liver but one suffering from this can sometimes be in critical condition.

Hepatitis, jaundice, liver cancers are some of the causes which lead to liver enlargement. Some other causes for this disease are excessive intake of alcohol or carbonated drinks, having unhealthy food habits or some blood disorders in the body etc. Once the liver of a person gets enlarged he is more prone to have problems like jaundice or liver cancer as they are liver related.

There are some home remedies suggested to avoid this disease. If we pay special attention to our diet we can solve a number of health problems. So a person should strictly stick to a healthy and balanced diet. Having a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables is also a key to strengthen the immunity of our body. A person with strong immunity is less prone to have this disease.

Adding vitamin C rich fruits and vegetables in our diet also help in avoiding this disease. Tablets of vitamin C can be taken as a supplement to strengthen the immune system of the body. Intake of fresh fruits and vegetables should be encouraged in the diet as they help in supplying a lot of minerals and vitamins and other essential nutrients required by our body.

There are certain home remedies suggested to cure the enlarged liver. A regular intake of spearmint juice can be really helpful in the treatment of this fatal disease. Mix 250 ml of spearmint juice with sugar and drink this juice daily in the morning.

The result can be seen within 7-10 days of regular intake of this juice. A regular intake of brinjal (eggplant) in the diet helps in curing the enlargement of liver. Orange juice also helps in the cure of this disease. These remedies help the liver to come to its normal size. After adopting these remedies if there are still complications then medical aids is suggested.
