Causes and Treatment of High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure is the silent killer of our modern times. Also called hypertension, it occurs whenever the adrenaline in the bloodstream increases; adrenaline causes a rise in blood pressure. High blood pressure also results when our capillaries (small blood vessels) narrow.
Blood pressure itself is created when the heart pumps blood into the large arteries of the body. The force the heart exerts creates pressure in the arteries and is known as blood pressure
If we aren’t careful, the demands and fast pace of the lives we lead could easily lead to hypertension.
