Hello,
Thanks for your visit on the website and contribution of the question.
Gout is a common type of arthritis occurring when there is an excess amount of uric acid in the blood, tissues and urine. In this way, it crystallizes in the joints too. Patients diagnosed with gout are not able to break down and excrete uric acid in a proper manner which is produced as byproduct of digesting certain foods.
Uric acid is the end product of the metabolism of a type of chemicals called as purines. In people suffering from this condition, the body does not have enough of the digestive enzyme called uricase, and, due to this, uric acid starts building up and finally crystallizes. If left untouched, there is an excess of excretion of uric acid in the urine that ultimately suffers the kidney and develop painful kidney stones, kidney problems and even kidney failure. For pain, go for some herbal remedies such as Arthcare Capsules and Shallaki
For diet, give up:-
Meat: organ meats, red meat, veal, bacon, meat gravies and broths etc
Poultry: give up turkey and goose
Seafood: try to avoid salmon, cod, mussels, crabs, herring, sardines and shrimp
Vegetables: Give up peas, any kind of beans, cauliflower, tomatoes, rhubarb, lentils, asparagus and mushrooms
Yeast products: avoid baked goods and beer
Alcohol – Give this up! It is said to increase the production of uric acid and also to inhibit its excretion through kidneys
Avoid all fried foods and Coffee
Cream and ice cream (including pastries), rich desserts are to be avoided.
Simple sugars, simple carbohydrates and saturated fats are to be restricted since they all increase body’s production of uric acid and may alter kidney function. Limit the fructose
Can be consumed or simply include
Garlic: have several cloves of raw garlic on a daily basis and for this, simply mince the garlic and take it with a black cherry juice which is said to be very useful
Ginger: Put 1/3rd cup of fine powdered ginger in a bathtub of water and then soak your body for about half an hour. This causes you to sweat (which is desired) that helps eliminating the uric acid from the body cells. When you have finished the bath you must rinse it off properly since the ginger may cause skin irritation when it gets dried on the skin.
Grapes are rich in alkalines that are said to reduce the acidity of uric acid and may also help in to eliminate it from the body. Nettle has alkaloids that help in neutralizing the uric acid.
Hawthorn is another good thing to have. It is high in anthocyanosides and flavonoids, those are useful in healing gout. Saffron can neutralize the uric acid buildup and hence can be consumed.
Yarrow can also be helpful, for this, make a tea by using equal parts of yarrow and stinging nettles then filter and cool and have some cups daily.
Hydrangea is an anti-inflammatory and hence can be consumed. Icepack – an application of ice pack for about 10 minutes and then alternate with a moist hot-towel compress can help in alleviating the pain and inflammation.
Strawberries are good and eating a cup of strawberries with every meal may bring quick relief from gouty conditions since they are to neutralize the uric acid.
Mullein You can simply soak mullein leaves in a hot water mixture and can pack the leaves on gouty area. Parsley is good to have since it serves as a natural diuretic.
You can also cook a tbsp of celery seeds in 2 cups of water unless they are soft; strain and have about half a cup thrice a day.
