Fever: Treatment and Prevention
Fever is not considered a disease but it is rather considered as symptom. Clinically speaking it is a state of person which is attained when temperature of body is more than 100 degrees. There are various medicines as well as home remedies available for curing fever but most percentage of population opt for home remedies.
The most common cause for fever is scarcity of water in our body. Drinking sufficient amount of water or consumption of important fluids such as juice etc can help you to increase liquid level in your body. This will ultimately lead to diminishing fever. If you are suffering from fever then its better that you wear light clothes.
During fever it is not recommended to eat solid foods and it is better to substitute food with drinking plenty of water. If you are suffering from fever then you must avoid eating foods that contains IRON and ZINC. Iron tends to create tension in our body while zinc is not easily digested. In case if your child is suffering from fever then you should try to give him cold bath or try sponging which helps to get rid of fever soon.
Sponging is an important method to get rid of fever. In this case the body is sponged with cold water which helps to bring down the temperature of our body. If in case fever is also accompanied with chills then it is better to consult with a doctor if this is continuing from a longer time.
People suffering from fever should avoid the state of changing climate as this may worsen the case. In case if your body temperature is not coming down from 102 degrees then you must wait for the fever to run its course as it also helps to lower the body temperature and eliminates the toxins from our body. Fever can be mild as well as severe.
There are medications available in the market but they should not be consumed for longer time. This may lead to other health disorders. Home remedies are best cure for fever but in case if symptoms are persistent then its better to consult a doctor.
