Get yourself some beautiful eyes
Beautiful eyes can make even an ordinary face look gorgeous. All women wish for wrinkle-free, sparkling eyes, however, with their cumbersome schedules and the added stress that comes with a fast-paced life, they often end up with weary, dull eyes. It’s amazing how a pair of tired, wrinkled eyes can add years to your age and make you look much older. It is important, therefore, to take proper care of your eyes.
Puffy eyes with dark circles are usually a result of lack of proper sleep. Puffiness that appears and disappears in intervals is caused due to fluid retention. It becomes more evident when you wake up in the morning as fluid tends to build up while you sleep. Not drinking sufficient amount of water causes skin to appear thinner and makes circles around the eyes prominent. When you are dehydrated, your kidneys tend to retain water resulting in puffiness around the eyes.
Dark circles may also be a result of pigmentation, which is common in people with darker skin tones. However, it is necessary to make sure that dark shadows under the eye are not a result of underlying medical problems, like thyroid. If that is the case, then you must consult a doctor immediately.
It is easy to get rid of dark circles and puffy eyes if you get your proper 8-10 hours of beauty sleep and increase your water intake to minimum 8-10 glasses per day. You must also increase your intake of foods rich in beta-carotene, vitamin A, C and E, Plant pigments in blueberries, bilberries and carotenes in red, orange and yellow fruits and vegetables are good sources.. Applying cucumber to the eyes helps a lot.
The herbal properties of green teas reduce the puffiness of eyes. Light eye gels are also very effective, and they are easily available.
While it is easy to remove dark circles and puffiness around eyes, wrinkles and lines around the eyes are very difficult to remove. They can only be removed with the aid of injections and cosmetic surgery, which is not advisable; therefore, it is wise to prevent them from occurring in the first place. The ultraviolet rays of the sun cause wrinkles to appear around the eyes. So, never step out in the sun without applying adequate amount of sun screen lotion on your face. Also you must avoid dragging or pulling at skin around your eyes. While removing make- up, dab the area gently with a cotton ball rather than dragging or rubbing it.
