Herbal remedies for Eczema

  • Eczema is a group of skin disorders, it also known as dermatitis. The most common type of eczema is atopic dermatitis. Eczema is a non contagious disease. In most of the cases eczema is found to occur in children below 5 years of age. An individual may suffer from Itching, Dry and flaky skin, Itchy blisters inflammation on skin, redness on skin, Small bumps on forehead, neck and cheek, or rough and thickened skin. Eczema is commonly considered to be hereditary. Studies reveal that an individual is prone to eczema if his family has a history of closely linked conditions like asthma and hay fever.

    Herbal remedies for eczema

    Use pine tar soap to wash the affected area of the skin.
    Apply nutmeg paste to the affected areas of the skin.
    Take of one teaspoon of camphor and one teaspoon of sandalwood powder and mix it well. Apply this paste on the area of rashes.

    Put natural vitamin E on the affected area of the skin, it will relieve you of itching.
    Both lotion of blueberry leaves and shark cartilage commonly reduce inflammation.

    Tomato is a very good remedy for eczema. Have a glass of tomato juice daily, it will cure the symptoms in a few days.

    Always avoid allergic substances in your day to day life. Allergic substances can easily trigger eczema .Try to use cotton clothes always as they do not irritate your normal itchy skin. Keep away form contact with water for long time as this can lead to skin dryness. Always use good quality moisturizer.

    Zinc taken orally and applied directly on the affected area of the skin is very effective.

    Neem supplements
    Neem is highly recommended for the effects it has upon the skin. It is advised to maintain a healthy glow on the skin. Due to neem’s anti-bacterial properties it is effective in fighting most epidermal dysfunctions such as Acne, psoriasis and Eczema

    Diet never causes eczema. Food only generally causes allergy, it does not cause eczema. It is the genes of an individual that cause eczema. If an individual is allergic or sensitive to certain foods items then try totally avoiding them, because they can easily trigger eczema. Eggs, dairy products, preservatives, nuts and citrus fruits are more likely to trigger eczema.
