Hello and greetings from Ayurvediccure.com
Constipation or irregular bowel habits are very common in children. Even though children keep on playing and do lots of exercise while playing but they get hard stools or pass stools after two three days. Parents get extra conscious about irregular bowl habits in children. But the fact is that in babies bowls habits remain irregular and it is very much normal. If a baby is passing stool after two three days or is passing stools two to three times in a single day- it is called normal. Adults can take various herbal medicines for their constipation problem like triphala etc but same can`t be done with babies. Just give them proper timely meals and try to give them training about regular stool habits. You should try to make your baby sit calmly to pass stool. After one year you can also include water, fruit juices and other simple and light home made food items in their diet. Milk itself is having laxative properties and we recommend you to just increase milk in the diet of your baby. Medication of constipation in babies is not recommended. Further queries are welcome.
