    The treatment of Heat Rashes

    Requirements

    Antihistamine

    Dry Cotton Towels

    Cotton Clothing

    Mild Soap/Cleanser

    Dry Oatmeal

    Calamine Lotion

    Instructions

To start with remove yourself from the heat and find a cooler place to be in that has a fan, air conditioning or is in the shade.

Air the affected area well so that it gets well dried out.

Then, using a mild cleanser or soap that is non-deodorized, clean the affected area.

After rinsing the affected area well, pat it dry with a cotton towel. Do not rub the towel on the area.

To relieve any itching you may be experiencing in that area, you could gently rub calamine lotion over it.

The baking soda bath is another good remedy for itching. Mix in 3 tablespoons of baking soda into your bath water. You can soak in this water for about 15 or 20 minutes. Rinse yourself off and then pat yourself dry.

If these treatments have not eliminated your itching, you could also take an antihistamine which is sold over the counter.

Make sure you wear natural fabrics such as cotton, and also that you wear your clothes loose.

Always wash your clothes with a mild detergent as the chemicals found in the harsher ones can irritate your rash even further.

Stay out of the heat as far as possible till your heat rash is completely healed.

Having followed these treatments for a few days if you find your heat rash is not yet healed, it is advisable that you see a doctor.
