  • Obesity is an embarrassing physical condition that is due to excessive storage of fat in the body. Obesity has been briefly defined as a weight more than 20% above which is considered normal as per the prescribed body mass index, which is calculated from an individual’s age, weight and height. The presence of fat tissue is necessary as natural energy reserve in our bodies. At the same time excess fat tissues result in obesity and causes health disorders for this type of person.

    Obesity Symptoms

    One of the areas where this excess body fat can most easily be noticed is around the waistline. If the waist measurement of 35 inches or more in women and 40 inches or more in men is related to an increased risk for heart disease and problems associated with obesity.
    One of the foremost causes is over-eating as the intake of extra calories exceeds the requirements of the body over a long period of time. This excess energy is stored in the person’s body cells in the form of fat and sugar and gives the individual the outward physical appearance of being overweight.

    Hereditary or Genetic traits including behavioral, social, physiological, cultural and metabolic factors may contribute to the development of Obesity.

    Home remedies for obesity

    Lime Juice-Honey

    A few days of fasting on lime juice-honey mixed water are helpful in the treatment of obesity. In this method of treatment, one tablespoon of fresh honey should be mixed with the juice of half a lime in a cup of warm water and drank at regular intervals.

    Triphala

    Triphala, an herbal combination of bibbitaki, amalaki and haritaki is beneficial for losing weight.

    Obeslim dietary supplement

    Obeslim dietary supplement is a good combination of weight loss herb to regularize the body metabolism and destroy accumulated unwanted fat in the body. It doesn’t have any side effect.

    Jujube

    The leaves of jujube are another useful remedy for obesity. A few leaves should be soaked at night in water and this water should be drunk in the early morning, preferably on an empty stomach. This treatment should be continued for at least one or two month to achieve good results.
