Home Remedies to Remove Calluses
We rely on our feet to take us everywhere we want to go. To make sure that we get there without pain or mishap we need to make sure we give our feet the care and respect they deserve.
Removing Calluses
One of the things that people often ignore when they are taking care of their feet is the calluses. Calluses are areas of extra tough skin that form on or feet, usually on pressure points. Calluses are never attractive and sometimes they are can actually be quite painful. The best way to prevent calluses is to rub the bottoms of your feet with a pumice stone every single night. If the calluses are still a problem, you need to examine you shoes and make sure they are aren’t creating an uncomfortable pressure point.
Never ever use a knife or razor to scrape stubborn calluses, the chance of cutting something important is enormous. Instead you should use you emery board to remove any foot calluses you might have developed.
Take off Your Shoes
If you are wearing heels, make sure you are wearing a pair that can be easily slipped on and off. Every time you have a few minutes you should slide your shoes off and give your foots skeletal structure a break from the otherwise unnatural position.
Moisturizing your Feet
The quickest and cheapest way to moisturize your dried feet is to use a bottle of old fashioned petroleum jelly. All you have to do is coat your feet in a generous layer of the petroleum jelly. Pull on a pair of really thick socks that you don’t care if you stain. Leave the socks on overnight. The next morning, when you take your socks off, the skin covering your feet will be as soft and supple as a new born baby.
When you are moisturizing your foot, don’t do in between your toes. Adding moisture to this area can be an open invitation for a painful fungal infection.
Polishing Your Toes
When you are using nail polish to make your feet look dressy and festive, you should start painting your pinkie toenail first and work your way towards your largest toe. Make sure the nail polish has completely dried before you start to walk around.
