How can I get proper erections?

Hi, Last night while doing fiddling or pre- sex activities, my penis was standing hard and my wife kept fiddling with it. But as soon as I wore the condom and tried to insert my penis in her vagina, my penis shrank . This happened for the first time. I am 27 years old. Kindly suggest a possible remedy. Even after that , since I failed to erect my penis, we left the thought of having sex. But thereafter I tried to masturbate, still I was not able to erect my penis. Do I need any medical help or it is usual and can be cured by having proper exercise and good diet.
