How to cure indigestion at home?
Indigestion is a condition in which an individual experiences difficulty in digesting food. It is accompanied by stomachache, nausea, belching, vomiting, flatulence, abdominal bloating and heartburn and can cause a great deal of discomfort to the sufferer.
Treating indigestion at home:
Indigestion can be treated at home by concocting some of the following home remedies that are quite effective and completely natural.
Add 3-4 drops of mint oil to a glass of water and gulp it down after an hour. This provides instant relief from stomachache, nausea and abdominal bloating.
Take ground cumin seeds, asafetida and salt and make a fine mixture. Take this 2-3 times a day for curing indigestion.
Take 1 tbsp of lemon juice and add it to 1 cup of hot water. Drink this before eating your meals to prevent indigestion. You can also take cider vinegar instead of water for better results.
Terminalia bellirica or Triphala dietary supplements are available in the form of herbal capsules and help treat indigestion. They can be taken everyday to combat constipation and improve digestion.
Add 4 drops of garlic juice to 1 cup soy oil and rub this on your stomach after eating your meals. This balm enables you to get instant relief from indigestion.
Herbal tea made by infusing mint, blackberry, raspberry or chamomile helps relieve indigestion. Taking herbal tea twice a day enhances digestion and stimulates the secretion of gastric juices.
