Lack of exercise, increasing job pressure, inadequate sleep, no time for recreation and intake of an improper diet can lead to increased stress levels that can be very harmful for the body and mind. While stress might not be a life threatening ailment, it is often regarded as a risk factor for other diseases such as coronary heart disease, hypertension and diabetes.

    The best way to fight stress is by relaxing the mind and following a specific sleep pattern on a daily basis. This energizes your mind and helps you prepare for the next day.

    Aromatherapy is another great way by means of which you can de-stress at home. You can prepare a warm bath and add your favorite essential oil to it for deep relaxation.  Essential oils of lavender, rose, tea tree, ylang ylang and rosemary are beneficial for fighting stress. Soak yourself in the bath for 15-20 minutes and you will feel relaxed and rejuvenated once you come out.

    Ginkgo biloba is a wonder herb for combating stress. It improves blood circulation and stimulates brain activity to help get rid of stress. It is available in the form of herbal tea or dietary supplements and can be used to combat stress effectively.
