How to get rid of Gum inflammation

Gum is a tissue of the jaws that surrounds the bases of the teeth. Any type of swelling, infection or soreness is known as gum diseases. The gums become tender in form and often bleed while brushing.  Plaque is the main cause for all kinds of gum diseases.  Adequate brushing and flossing is required get rid of gum diseases.

Smoking can be a cause for progression of gum diseases. People who smoke are likely to produce bacterial plaque. Smoking causes lack of oxygen to the bloodstream thus it prevent the infected gums to heal.

Gum massage with your finger tips is good for increasing the blood flow. Rub your gums gently with index finger and thumb. Numb pain in the swelling gum by applying an ice pack.

Vitamin C is a natural source for fighting against gum diseases. Taking enough Vitamin C in the form of fruits like, oranges, sweet limes, lime juices, amla or guava is considered one of the best treatments for gum diseases. Vitamin C is soluble in water and the body can absorb it through supplements or diet.  Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is an anti-oxidant that can help damage from free radicals.

Salt is good for gum diseases. For bleeding or paining swish salt water between the teeth and gums for bleeding or paining and spit the water.

Take raw Indian gooseberry for better use.  Take one tablespoon of Indian Gooseberry powder with One tablespoon honey in one cup of water for 3 to four months. This will also reduce the deficiency of Vitamin C.

Take vegetables and fruits rich in calcium and Vitamin C. Green vegetables, broccoli, raw salads, beet root, milk and meat are effective for this disease.
