  • Acne is an annoying condition of the skin caused by over-stimulation of the sebaceous glands causing the release of sebum in excess. The acne causing bacteria propionibacterium acnes reacts with sebum, thereby resulting in an outbreak of acne eruptions on the face, neck, back and shoulders. The various causes of acne are hormonal imbalance, intake of a faulty diet, not maintaining proper skin hygiene and stress.

Acne can be a rather troublesome disorder and can cause you to go in frenzy. You might just wake up one fine morning and look at yourself in the mirror to find an angry red pimple staring back at you. This is enough to ruin your plans to go to your sister’s wedding or lure that charming lad into asking you out. Well, you just have to be lucky to escape it!

But thanks to the bounties of nature, now you can flaunt an acne free, flawless complexion wherever you go and keep those ugly little zits out of the way. All you need to do is follow these tips religiously.

    How to combat acne naturally?
Acne or pimples tend to begin as blackheads and when they are inflamed they take the shape of pimples which multiply when touched with dirty hands.

Add dried lime flowers to a cup of boiling water and steam your face with it for about 10 minutes. This causes the pores to open up and enables you to get rid of blackheads.

Drinking around 8-10 glasses of water works best to get rid of stubborn acne. Water keeps the body hydrated, regulates body temperature and expels the harmful toxins from the body.

Haemafine syrup is an excellent remedy for combating acne. Its powerful blood purification system acts from within and helps heal acne and prevents further eruptions. It is recommended to take it everyday for best results.

Fenugreek is another effective anti-acne remedy that can work wonders for you. Take a handful of fresh fenugreek leaves and grind them into a paste using water. Apply this every night for about 10-15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. This prevents the formation of blackheads, acne, pimples and zits.

Calendula or marigold has powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and can help get rid of acne eruptions effectively. You can apply calendula cream or take a few fresh calendula flowers and grind them into a paste. Apply this on the acne affected area for 10-15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
