Piles are also known as hemorrhoids and are referred to the inflammation of veins just outside the rectum. They can be of two types- external piles and internal piles. Fresh fruits and vegetables such as pears, peaches, pineapples, apples, grapes, figs, papayas, mangoes, guava, oranges, spinach, onion, tomatoes, lettuce, beets, peas, French beans, cauliflower, pumpkin, sprouts, celery and turnip should be liberally included in your diet. You must increase your water intake to 8-10 glasses per day to treat this condition. Water not only helps detoxify the body but also helps soften the hardened stools.
Onions: These are highly beneficial for reducing pain caused by piles. When piles cause excruciating pains that it becomes impossible for the patient to even sit down, onions come in handy. Take an onion and bake it along with its skin. Grind it into a paste and fry in clarified butter. While still hot, place the paste on the piles and apply a dressing. This helps soothe the pain. You can also take an onion and chop it finely. Fry it along with caraway seeds in clarified butter. Mix with sugar candy and eat. This is quite beneficial for treating bleeding piles.
