Natural cure for first degree burns

    Natural treatment for first degree burns:

    The first thing for you to do in case of first degree burns is decrease the temperature of the affected area. Splashing cold water on the burnt area for 15- 30 minutes helps lessen the affect of heat.

    You can take crushed flowers of St. John’s wort steeped in alcohol and apply them to the affected area.

    Lavender essential oil is another age old remedy used to treat first degree burns. Lavender has excellent painkilling properties and helps promote healing of the burnt area.

    Aloe Vera is a multipurpose herb that helps heal first degree burns naturally and effectively. Aloe Vera supplements can be taken to heal the burns and soothe the area.

    Applying mashed papaya helps remove deal skin cells and promotes healing of first degree burns.

    Henna is known for its cooling effect and helps heal first degree burns rather effectively. Applying a paste of henna leaves on the affected area soothes the pain and reduces swelling and redness.

    You can also use diluted vinegar for treating first degree burns at home. You can pour a small amount of diluted vinegar on sterilized gauze and place it on the burnt area for instant relief.

    After washing the burnt area with cold water, you can apply honey in order to avoid the chances of infection and promote faster healing.
