Migraine is a severe recurring vascular headache; occurs more frequently in women than men. Migraine results from contraction, accompanied by rapid expansion of the blood vessels in the head. The pain begins from the center of the forehead mild then to grow severe or around one eye and may spread to the whole forehead gradually.
One of the most knock-down natural treatments for headaches is aromatherapy, essential oil of peppermint, eucalyptus oil, lavender oil etc. Mix few drops of any of these oils with warm water. Swirl a soft cloth in the mix and squeeze the cloth. The cloth can be used as a compressor, on the neck or head for better results.
For headaches that are caused due to sinus problems, heat some vinegar in a bowl of boiling water. Now inhales the fumes that are exhaling from the bowl, as these fumes helped to unblock the sinus and relieve headaches.
A head massage can be mixed with a neck massage for release of tension that is built up around the neck, as sometimes this tension around the neck may be the cause for headaches. Rest and relax for an hour after the massage and don’t indulge any sort of activities immediately.
Apply an icepack wrapped in a soft cloth; to that particular area of the head of originating the pain can also relieve headaches. The icepack can be placed on the forehead or on the back of the neck for better release from tension and stress.
Take one teaspoon dried ginger powder and mix with half teaspoon of turmeric powder. Add milk to this mixture so as to make a paste. Apply this paste on forehead and wash with cold water after half an hour.
