Natural cures for migraine

Migraine Headaches are severe recurring vascular headaches; occurs more frequently in women than men. The headache normally occurs on one side of the head. It is associated with disorders of digestion, liver, and sight. Sudden migraine attacks may happen due to overworked muscles in the head and neck and also due to continuous stress.

Most migraine cases are caused by getting overworked and excessive exposure to loud sound and light. So it is better to take a rest in a cool dark place, and the patient should sleep well.

Lemon crusts are effective for migraine. Grind lemon crust and apply as a thick paste on the forehead. Migraine cures using this treatment has been found very effective and long lasting.

Ripe grapes are useful for reducing migraine. Grind fresh ripe grapes and drink without diluting with water.

Cabbage leaf compress can relieve the pain of a migraine headache. Crush a few cabbage leaves, place in a cloth and apply on the forehead for a lengthy period of time. Use only the fresh leaves when the compressed leaves dry out.

Fomentation over the stomach and spine, cold compress applied to the head, a hot foot bath, towels wrung out of very hot water and frequently applied to the neck will go a long way in relieving migraine headaches.

Avoid constipation by drinking one liter of water in a day or by drinking warm water and fruit juices.

Exercise regularly, frequent fresh air walks and yoga will be helpful in relieving migraine tension and strain.

Carrot juice combined with spinach, cucumber and beet juices are good for migraine treatment. Either taking it alone or mixing it with other juices are also found to be worthful.

Avoid or reduce refined white flour products, condiments and sauces.
