Constipation can be defined as irregular and infrequent or difficult evacuation of the bowels, can be associated with the symptom of intestinal obstruction or diverticulitis. Constipation is one of the foremost burgeoning problems of the present modern lifestyle. Most people suffer from it due to an overly packed busy routine schedule.

They include not eating food on time and not eating the right food. Junk food is the real culprit of constipation. Intake of food made in unhygienic conditions. The germs in the non-vegetarian food also lead to constipation. Raw foods like junk salads and charcoal grilled corn also add to the abdomen pain. The other causes are habit of sleeping late, less sleep, stressed out at work, have a personal problem you cannot deal with, smoke in excess, non-stop intake of coffee and tea, illicit drugs or taking non prescribed medication all leads to constipation.
Home remedies for constipation
Drink some lukewarm milk before going to bed.
If there is chronic constipation then add two teaspoons of castor oil in the lukewarm milk and drink it. Please do this probably on holiday day.
Take a lemon juice in warm water, do not add sugar or salt and keep sipping on it.
Triphala dietary supplements
Triphala is very effective for constipation, cleanses and tones the gastrointestinal tract. It helps in reducing high blood pressure and hypertension and improves blood circulation. It is also helpful in irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis. It does the work of detoxing the whole body and improves digestion and assimilation.
Eat only thrice or a maximum of four times a day. Eat only when really hungry and take food from home to office.
While cooking use cumin powder, asafetida, coriander and turmeric powder which make the food easily digestible.
