Leucorrhoea is also known as ‘whites’ and refers to a whitish discharge from the female genitals. It is an abnormal condition of the female reproductive organs and can become chronic, if left untreated.
Leucorrhoea may be caused by the presence of an infection, increased toxicity in the body, wearing unclean underwear, overactivty of the sex glands, gonorrhea, menstruation and pregnancy. Leucorrhoea is characterized by a whitish discharge from the vagina accompanied by tiredness, pain in the lumbar region and calves and a dragging sensation in the abdomen. In chronic form, the patient develops dark under eye circles and feels irritable.
Natural Treatment for Leucorrhoea:
Lady’s finger is considered to be one of the most effective natural remedies for treating Leucorrhoea. Take 100 gm of Lady’s finger and cut it transversally. Boil in ½ liter water for about 20 minutes. Strain and add honey to sweeten it. Drink 2-3 times a day for treating this condition.
Fenugreek seeds are also highly beneficial for treating leucorrhoea. These can be taken as herbal tea or used as vaginal douche for best results. For preparing the douche, take 2 tbsp fenugreek seeds and add them to 1 liter cold water. Simmer on low flame for about 30 minutes. Strain and use as a douche.
Gynol syrup is an effective natural remedy that can be taken to combat Leucorrhoea effectively. Taking this syrup on a daily basis helps treat this condition.
Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, condiments, preserved and canned foods and white flour products to prevent and treat Leucorrhea effectively.
Take 1 tsp of dry coriander seeds and soak overnight in water. Strain and drink the liquid in the morning on an empty stomach. This is highly effective for treating Leucorrhea.
Betel nut is an effective natural remedy that can be used to prevent and treat Leucorrhoea. It is recommended to chew betel nut after meals to combat this condition effectively.
