Natural remedies for treating sore throat
Sore throat is the inflammation of the pharynx or back of throat caused by the action of bacteria or virus. Ailments such as common cold, influenza, mumps, diptheria and sinusitis can cause sore throat. Excessive smoking, exposure to environmental toxins and allergies can also cause sore throat.

Let it simmer on low flame for 5 minutes. Add1/2 tsp honey to it and sip while it is hot. You can also extract about 1 tsp juice of Tulsi leaves and add ½ tsp honey to it and dilute it with water. Taking this 2-3 times a day helps treat sore throat effectively.

Garlic is also quite helpful in healing a sore throat. Roast a few garlic cloves on low flame and chew on them. This helps provide instant relief from pain, swelling and irritation.
