Natural remedy for Bacterial vaginitis
Bacterial vaginitis is also known as vaginal infection. Vaginal infection is one of the most common reasons for vaginitis during reproductive years. Bacterial vaginitis can be caused through sexual intercourse. It can also happen among lesbians through exchange of vaginal fluids.
Change in the odor and color of the vaginal discharge, irritation or itching in vagina, Painful urination, bleeding from vagina, grayish white discharge and fishy odor from vagina; particularly after sexual intercourse are all associated with vaginal infection. Repeated sexual intercourse in a short period of time leads to a rise in the vaginal pH and results in the growth of bacteria and other infections.
Moisture in the vaginal area by restrictive and nonabsorbent synthetic clothing is also a cause for vaginal infection. Avoid chemicals that may cause irritation. The other reasons are usage of certain types of antibiotics that disrupt the balance of the bacterial environment in the vagina.
Eat plenty or apply plain yogurt directly to the vagina. Or else, a tampon soaked in yogurt can be inserted.
Garlic has rich antibacterial and antifungal properties. Garlic can be taken internally or apply directly on the vagina.
To reduce the inflammation, use calendula herb.
Herbs like Echinacea, goldenseal, black walnut, and tea tree oil are effective in treating bacterial vaginitis.
Boric acid douche is suitable to acidify vaginal pH.
