Natural remedy for Eczema
Eczema refers to a generic term for inflammatory conditions of the skin; particularly with vesiculation in the acute stages. The best way to treat the itching of eczema is to keep skin which is dry and patchy, moist and well lubricated.
Take a hand full of nutmeg and grate it. Then add the grated nutmeg with a little water to make a paste out of it. Apply this fine paste to the affected area for half an hour. Later on wash it with lukewarm water.
Take one tablespoon of camphor and mix it with one tablespoon of sandalwood power to make a paste out of it. Apply this paste to the affected eczema areas.
Use mild soaps, any soap which specifies for sensitive skin and for hypoallergenic skin. Wash he affected area with this kind of soap only.
Oatmeal baths are very good cleansers. Take the flaky variety of wholesome oats and blend it in a dry mixer to make fine powder. Mix in a little warm water and make thick paste. You can use this paste instead of soap to cleanse your body while having bath.
Generally pat dry yourself after bath or shower, never rub your skin. Then mix almond oil with mineral oil and apply to affected area of the skin to keep it hydrated. Always remember that anxiety and stress can flare up eczema so try and remain as cool as possible in life.
Always have a habit of drinking tomato juice in large glass twice a day; it works wonders on your skin. A combination of carrot juice and spinach juice is also helpful for good skin.
