Conjunctiva is a thin transparent membrane covering the front of the eye, and the Inflammation of the conjunctiva is known as Conjunctivitis. Pure water is the best natural treatment for conjunctivitis. Frequently wash your eyes with pure water. Do not use a dirty cloth for wiping your face. Do not squeeze your eyes with dirty hand. Always keep your body and hands clean.
Take one teaspoon of sugar and three teaspoon of coriander and grind them into a fine powder. Add this fine powder in half a liter of water and boil it for an hour with a tight closed lid. Then filter the solution with a clean cloth. Use the filtrated solution as eye drops. This is a very effective treatment for conjunctivitis.
Juices of carrots and spinach have been found valuable in conjunctivitis. 150 ml of spinach juice should be mixed with 225 ml of carrot juice. Daily consumption these two vegetables have proved very effective.

The amla taken with honey is suitable in preserving eye sight. It is also beneficial in the treatment of conjunctivitis and glaucoma. It reduces intra ocular tension in effective manner.
