Natural ways to color your hair
Coloring your whites can give you a whole new look. They make you appear younger and far more attractive. However, abusing your tresses with hair colors consisting of destructive chemicals is not such a good idea. For that matter, you can use various natural ways to color your hair. These methods have no side effects(unless you have an extremely sensitive skin), are inexpensive and make the hair look wonderful.
One of the most natural ways to highlight your hair is by applying lemon on it. Lemon has acidic qualities which gives it the ability to tone down the hair color. To get those highlights, make sure you apply lemon vigorously on all the areas you need to lighten and then sit under the sun for about an hour. If you do not want to sun bathe, then you can use a hair drier over the lemon covered areas to provide them the extra heat, to change color.
One can use Amalaki, herbal capsules made of the best Alma fruit available. These capsules help in increasing pigmentation and strengthening the roots. These capsules are great for maintaining hair luster and color.
Henna is another natural substance available in the form of powder, which can be used to color hair. All one has to do is dilute the henna powder with water, making it into a semi thick paste and then applying it evenly into the hair. Moreover, for a darker brown color, one can add tea leaves in the mixture and then apply the paste. But remember, the color henna leave’s is brownish and looks good on brunets and black hair only. People with blond hair should avoid it.
Acacia concinna ( a.k.a shikakai) is a shrub very popular in the East Asian countries to color hair. The various parts of this shrub such as leaves, bark and fruit pods are dried and made a paste of, for using it to color hair and also to cleanse it. This shrub leaves a shiny black color.
