Parotid Gland

Hello! Namaste! I have a benign tumor on the parotid gland under my left ear. A western doc did a biopsy and determined it was benign and did a catscan verifying that its mostly fluid, not attached to other tissues. He has indicated that he doesn’t want to perform surgery at this time and just wants to monitor it over 6 months to see if it grows further. I am wondering if there is an Ayurvedic treatment that may help the gland return to health and alleviate the fluid in the area. I look forward to your response.

Hello, Greetings from Ayurvediccure.com and thanks for your consideration. The benign tumor is non-cancerous and that makes it a worry-free condition. In Ayurveda, any such growth (it is called as arbuda) is to be operated and not medically treated.
Anyway, you can try for some known medicines for this like ArogyaVardhini Vati (two tablets twice a day) with Punarnavadi Guggulu tablet (two, twice a day) and can start hot-packs on it.
I would strongly recommend you to undergo Pranayama and Yogasanas that have reported to be extremely beneficial and now they are also backed by scientific researches.
