Believe it or not, smoking is the worst ever thing and it is as harmful as you can ever think of. If you have committed to quit smoking, then for the initial days, you might not feel that things are going as they were in the past days. You might then give up your commitment and start taking puffs. Quitting smoking is as easy as eating food.

    Whatever ways you adopt for quit smoking, there are several positive and negative effects. Following points will tell you the effects after you have quit smoking.

    • It is very easy to understand that those who are quit smoking are more likely to gain some weight. This is due to the fact that you are burning fewer calories compared to the time when you were smoking. But the good news is that it will only last for a while and then things will be back on track.
    • A quitter might feel irritated, less concentrated to his work and some what depressed.
    • This might lead to low sugar levels in some cases. Getting out from work early and liking to eat sweet food might result after quitting smoking.
    • These days your blood will not be getting certain amount of nicotine which it usually gets while smoking. This lowers blood sugar level and you deal with headache as well nausea in some cases.
    • You might feel an increase in your pulse rate, but this is all temporarily. Don’t feel this as an attack of nervousness and anxiety but it is actually the way your body is coping with the situation.
    • After seven to eight hours when you have given up smoking, the oxygen level might increase to certain level, thus decreasing carbon monoxide in your body. After a day or so you will find yourself to be less prone to heart attack, if you are a heart patient.
    • If you are chain smoker, then you have harmed your nerves. Thus after couple of hours of smoking your nerves will start repairing.
