Hello And Greetings from Ayurvediccure.com

More common causes of mucus in stool includes bacterial overgrowth and food allergies and sensitivities.  With bacterial overgrowth, bloating and gas usually worsen after eating any sugar, whether it’s white sugar, bread, pasta, rye, rice, or milk (which contains the sugar lactose). In contrast, people with food allergies and sensitivities react to specific foods. Other causes of mucus in stool are Ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, Celiac Disease, diverticulitis.

Life Style Modification should be done. Drink 1 to 4 glass plain water (in winter Luke warm water) and  Take walk 5 to 10 minutes. before going to toilet . Start yogic practices like bhastrika kapalbhanti , anulom vilom etc. along with uttanpadasana , naukasana , ardhahalasana vakrasana , ardhmatsyndrasana etc. Avoid fried, spicy, heavy food, caffeine products.

But if other symptoms present, like a change in bowel habits or bleeding, the mucus can be a sign of a serious illness. You should see your health care provider for further evaluation and rule out underlying cause.
