Symptoms and Treatment of Stomach Ulcers
Stomach ulcers are also known as peptic ulcers. They result from the internal gastric intestinal mucous being injured. Stomach ulcers can cause sharp pain, burning sensations, and major discomfort.
Two types of ulcers
Gastric ulcers form within the stomach. They usually flare up a few hours after eating meals. Duodenal ulcers form in the duodenum. They normally flare up between meals.
Gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers, collectively, are called peptic ulcers.
Symptoms
The main symptoms of stomach ulcers are pain in the chest area, sharp pain in the abdominal area, heartburn and indigestion, upset stomach and nausea, vomiting, constipation, low levels of iron, fatigue, weakness, sleep difficulties, and digestive upsets.
Home remedies for stomach ulcers
Drink limejuice to combat indigestion; soak washed wood apple leaves overnight in water. Strain them the next morning and drink the resulting water to relieve pain. Repeat the process for at least 7 days; drink 1 glass of milk and eat 2 bananas to reduce stomach acid and irritation.
Boil cabbage in water. Cool to store and eat twice daily; mix cabbage and carrot juices together and drink; drink fenugreek tea (prepared by boiling the seeds in water). It provides rapid relief for ulcer symptoms.
Soak almonds in water to soften them. Then blend them to make almond milk. Drink the milk to relieve peptic ulcers; mix carrot, cucumber, spinach, and beet juices together. Drink the mixture to combat recurring ulcers; prepare a paste from drumstick leaves. Add yogurt and eat once a day.
