Symptoms and Treatments of Sore throat
Sore throat can be better defined as condition in which disorder occurs at the back of the throat. Its major cause is extensive exposure of body to cold. Even if your intake of cold food and drink is too much then also you are more susceptible to get sore throat. This problem can be majorly found in many people during the change of climate.
Some major symptoms of sore throat are irritation and pain in body. In rare cases it has also been observed that there is either slight fever or swelling of lymph glands. Swallowing anything becomes quite difficult. One should avoid eating and drinking cold things when suffering from sore throat.
Boil water till its luke-warm; add a tea spoon of salt in it and gargle it twice in a day to help get relief from the discomfort temporarily. Cinnamon is also helpful in getting a quick relief from pain and irritation. Mix pepper with one tea spoon of cinnamon powder and boil them in 200 ml of water. Add some honey to this mixture, and drink this. This is most effective remedy for getting quick relief from the symptoms.
Another effective remedy is Fenugreek (methi). From decades it is known as the best cure for the symptoms of sore throat. Take 250 ml of water, mix some fenugreek seeds into it and boil them at low flame for 15-20 minutes. Use this water to gargle and you will find quick relief from sore throat. Ajwain (carom seeds) is also an effective cure.
Prepare a blend of ajwain with small amount of salt, and have it for relief from sore throat. Ginger can also help and is considered as the best home remedy for other diseases as well. If the symptoms are persistent then it’s advisable to consult a doctor. In certain cases home remedies cure the disease to a great extent but if the case worsens then consult a doctor.
