Using 6,000 mg Triphala Daily for constipation. Is this dosage excessive and harmful?

I have been using Triphala daily to eliminate constipation.  Now for several weeks I have been needing to take 6,000 mg. daily of Triphala to relieve constipation.  Is this dosage harmful? I also take many other drugs which are prescribed for heart condition since open heart surgery.

Hello And Greetings From Ayurvedic Cure

The dose of Triphala is always decided as per levels of constipation. Triphala is mild laxative that meas it acts over-nite. So doctors advise it to take at night before going to bed with Milk or Plain water so that it clears the bowel movements till morning.

Its overdose can cause loose motions.
